Hi, my name is Stef, and I’m the founder of Amelia Romeo.

I grew up in Milan, where my love of fashion began early. As a little girl, I would drag my mother through every shop searching for one thing: sparkle. Sequins, shimmer...anything that caught the light.

That obsession never left me.

I studied fashion, built my career in the industry and, in 2012, packed up my life in Milan and moved to the Gold Coast, Australia.

Here, my days began to look a little different: Pilates in the morning, the ocean straight after, lunch by the beach and sunset plans that appeared at the last minute.

But I could never find activewear that felt like me.

Everything was practical, minimal and serious. Where were the pieces for women who wanted to move, swim and travel without giving up sparkle, femininity or style?

So, in 2025, I created the world I had been looking for.

Amelia Romeo is resort-inspired activewear designed to move effortlessly from the studio to the shore. Our signature sparkle sets are made for Pilates, ready for water and beautiful enough for everything that comes after.

Imagine packing for Bali and having one set that takes you through the whole day.

Wear it to morning Pilates. Swim in it afterwards. Add a sarong for lunch and gold jewellery for sunset drinks without needing to change once.

Amelia Romeo is named after two of the most important people in my life: my grandmother, Amelia, and my son, Romeo.

Designed on the Gold Coast with Milanese roots, every piece brings together the two worlds that shaped me: the polish and femininity of Milan with the freedom and ease of coastal Australian living.

I still design every piece and pack every order myself while working full-time, raising my son and building this dream in the hours in between.
