Returns & Exchanges

We understand that sometimes a purchase may not be quite right. Eligible full-priced items may be returned for an exchange or store credit.

Store credits do not expire.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect sizing or preference changes. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Change of Mind or Incorrect Size

Eligible full-priced items may be returned for an exchange or store credit, provided all return conditions are met.

To be eligible:

Your return request must be submitted within 14 days of receiving your order.
The item must be shipped back within 21 days of delivery.
The item must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered and in its original condition.
All original tags and hygiene stickers must remain attached.
The item must be free from makeup, fake tan, perfume, deodorant, stains, pet hair, odours and other marks.
The item should be returned in its original packaging where possible.
Proof of purchase must be provided.
Return postage is the customer’s responsibility.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.

All returned items are inspected before an exchange or store credit is approved. If an item does not meet the conditions above, we reserve the right to refuse the return and send it back to the customer at their expense.

Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the requested item or size is unavailable, store credit will be issued instead.

Sale and Final-Sale Items

Sale items, products discounted by more than 20%, and purchases made during sitewide sale events are final sale.

These items are not eligible for a change-of-mind return, exchange, store credit or refund unless the item is faulty or another remedy is required under Australian Consumer Law.

Swimwear Returns

For hygiene reasons, swimwear may only be returned for an exchange or store credit when:

It has not been worn, washed or altered.
All tags and hygiene stickers remain attached and intact.
It is free from makeup, fake tan, perfume, deodorant, stains, pet hair, odours and other marks.
It remains in its original condition and packaging.
The return is requested within 14 days of delivery.
The item is shipped back within 21 days of delivery.

Please try swimwear on over underwear. We reserve the right to refuse swimwear returns that do not meet these hygiene and return requirements.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you believe you have received a faulty, damaged or incorrect item, please email hello@ameliaromeo.com as soon as possible.

Include:

Your full name.
Your order number.
A description of the issue.
Clear photographs showing the item and the issue.

Each item will be assessed individually in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. We may request that the item be returned for inspection before approving the appropriate remedy.

Depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, the available remedy may include a repair, replacement or refund.

How to Request a Return

Before sending anything back, email hello@ameliaromeo.com with:

Your full name.
Your order number.
The item you would like to return.
Whether you are requesting an exchange or store credit.
The reason for your return.
The replacement size required, if requesting an exchange.

Please allow 2–4 business days for a response.

Do not send your return until you have received return instructions from Amelia Romeo. Returns sent without prior approval may experience delays or may be returned to the sender.

We strongly recommend using a tracked postage service and keeping your tracking receipt until your return has been completed. Amelia Romeo cannot process a return that has not been received.

Return Assessment

Once your return arrives, please allow 3–5 business days for it to be inspected and processed.

Approved store credit will be emailed to you and will not expire. Approved exchanges will be dispatched subject to product availability.
